Lasers are prevalent in aesthetic treatments. From time to time clients in laser treatment establishments experience burns from the laser. Aside from burns, 89% of patients who received laser hair removal experienced from mild to severe pain (The Hair Removal Journal, ASPS Procedural Statistics, 9/5/2012). According to Dr. Michael J. Sundine MD, FACS, FAAP the use of BurnFree immediately following microdermabrasion treatment cools the treated area and contributes to a noticeable reduction in redness (2011).

BurnFree gels and dressings soothe the pain and cool the burn from lasers. BurnFree dissipates heat on contact, cools the burn site, relieves pain, and helps stop the burn progression. Since BurnFree covers the burn, it helps to prevent contamination, and begins the healing process.

BurnFree is predominantly pure di-ionized water which is thickened with a gelling agent to enable the water to stay in place over the wound site. While water is effective as a first aid for burns, it is difficult to keep in place. BurnFree gels the water to allow for effective and easy cooling directly on the burn site. BurnFree never uses anesthetic drugs, such as lidocaine, in its formulation that can cause allergic reactions or is prohibited by many local regulations worldwide.

BurnFree dressings efficiently cover the burned area and yet are elastic enough to accommodate possible swelling or the need to flex joints. They are light, sterile and easily transportable. A single application of this dressing is an effective first-aid measure on burns. The dressings have a foam carrier and the foam's high absorption capabilities allow complete delivery of the gel to the burn site. Best of all, BurnFree dressings are non-adherent and the inert foam base will not shed threads, strands, fibers, etc., that might become embedded in the wound.
